26th did happen something, but it is risky to post here. ·﹏·

27th was a boring day. The only thing worth to mention is… I ate a box of pastéis de nata and a basket of xiaolongbao, again. I did not remember why I did this again… XD

I went to E-Commerce Seminar at 14:00. Today’s topic is “Internet infrastructure” and is presented by 胤. He also included some related extracurricular information —— Although most of them come from a same source, I still consider it is a good presentation. :)

After class, 胤 and me went to lab. He said he is going to buy new shoes tonight and incidentally asked me if I would like to go with him. I have nothing to do tonight and was very boring, so I agreed immediately.

We met at 18:30 and decided to go to Escoffier first. After dinner, we stroll around 2 sports goods store, a clothing store and Sunfar 3C. The clothing store is very special. Most of their clothes are hardcore gothic style. In other word, there are skulls, rivets, patches and washes everywhere. I was surprisish at his hardcore taste at first, but when we are leaving, he shows me his favorite found today —— That is an ordinary design compares to others. So I see that he is not so hardcore.

We left here and went to take our scooters. We passed through another clothing store, 胤 asked me how about the clothes here. “They are too ordinary. I don’t like here”. “No, we can find something ‘hardcore’ in a ordinary store, and find something ‘ordinary’ in a hardcore store. That is the doctrine of the mean”. XD

Merry Christmas to everyone!

My clock rang at 8:20 in the morning. When I was getting out of bed to turn clock off, I found my pillow was on the floor. I pick it up and felt lazy, so I climbed back to my warm bed.

I have a class this morning, so I only slept about 10 minutes and woke up again. I washed up in a hurry, then I went to lab to see the experiment results —— I surprisingly found that one of those queries takes 3 hours! So I terminated them and let others run first. In fact, our results did not match our expectations, most of our experiments are not statistical significant, I guess that is because of the query optimize mechanism in MySQL.

We dismissed the class earlier today, so I took a peek at next classroom. It seems like they are practicing teaching students. The ‘teacher’ was teaching English grammatical tense. She said there are 4 modes of verb transformation: 1. Once Transformation, e.g. look → looked; 2. Twice Transformation, e.g. see → saw; 3. Super Transformation, e.g. go → went; 4. Shifting Transformation, e.g. eat → ate. Although it is not grammatical correct, I consider it is a very interesting teaching method.

After class, I went back to my room and go to bed. XD

The Windows Live Messenger woke me up at about 6:00, my classmates were going to have a big dinner and ask me if I would like to join them. We discussed via WLM and decided to go to 石屋.

I ate a lot today, far more than I expect. I even did not feel too full after dinner. During the dinner, I got 爽快’s message, he greeted me “Merry Christmas”. I called back soon but no one answer, so I just sent a message, too. I am wondering… is it not convenient to call him? I hope he set his cell phone in mute mode. XD

I woke up at about 11:00 today, then held my cell phone a.k.a. alarm clock and slept in until 13:00. After I get out of bed, I ate a marble cake that I bought last afternoon at 7-11 for breakfast hurriedly. Marble cake tastes not bad, its texture is very soft, but not so smooth and velvety like cheese cake; Its appearance just correspond its name —— likes a beautiful marble.

After breakfast, I went to lab to prepare my report and the ADBS team meeting. I’d like to run some experiments before the team meeting —— we’ve determined these experiments at last meeting. Think is way easy, after I start, I run into many problems… so I only finish a little experiments until our team meeting.

Senior Huang bought us a nice loaf of bread and some fried peanuts. He also gave us some great opinion on our research. After he left, we continued to run our experiments. Time feels like going slower when waiting, so we run fast experiments first. After this, I made a batch of slower queries and we walked to 7-11 to buy some drink and jam —— because bread and fried peanuts are not match… XD

We came back to lab, ate the bread, read gossips on ptt, and do something else. Finally, we’ve finished most of experiments, then I made a batch of the-very-very-slow queries and left lab. We planned to compile the results and finish our slide next morning.

So, I finally found the evidence that someone has intended to ignore me. I am just a free, useful consultant for whom. It is a great point to break something off.
